So, I think I am finally getting back into the swing of things after our little Thanksgiving break, and I finally have a quote for you:
"I lived what most people call the good life. I was happy, but deep inside I always felt that, with the short amount of time we are given to live and love in this world, we spend too much time loving things instead of people." --Antonia Brenner
I just thought this was a good thing to consider, as we are approaching the holiday season, when most of our attention tends to be focused on things: the gifts we want to receive, the gifts we want to give, etc. What would Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Festivus/etc. look like, if the only thing we hoped to receive was love, and if the only thing we tried to give others was love?
I'll tell ya one thing, the traffic around the mall would be a heck of a lot lighter...and we would all be richer, in more ways than one...
